The Hooksters are on the cover of that damn mag again. BOS1.
-
BOS2 Chicago, "saturday in the park" -- crappy skipping CD and all.
-
COTRS is becoming a guilty displeasure. I would give BOS to "Saturday in the Park," but it sounds like the record's skipping, unless that's my stream.

how can one be an aficionado of '70s cheeze and hate Dr Hook?
BOS3 Argent -- imagine if 3DN had gotten their hands on this instead of "Liar".
-
VHM the Doobs, finding Jeezus. I still prefer the Byrds' version.

Jebus is just alright with me too; it's some of his followers that give me problems.

actually, the sexual metaphors ("she could feel the ocean fall and rise/she saw it's raging glory") are quite extraordinary.
-
proxy of you-know-who, The Dan, with another of their "is the protagonist looking for drugs or gay sex?" narratives. A fab set -- not quite as nugget-laden as Rob's, but delightful nonetheless.

But the boy who works layin' sailors down is a Midnight Cruiser.

If Bob really wanted to play an instrumental that would make me happy, he should have stuck with "Dueling Banjos"
-
Another BOS "Hi Hi Hi".
-
HM to Macca gone flower-power-pop: "Hi, Hi, Hi."
-
If Bob really wanted to play an instrumental that would make me happy, he should have stuck with "Dueling Banjos"
have we EVER heard that? even on a "Strictly Instrumental"? A great lost classic, for sure. And another BOS to Paul and his funky little mama. or fockin' little mama. Or whatever.

Awesome scene from a classic movie, and damn fine picking as well, what's to despise?

I don't associate it with the South as such (especially as I've never seen the film). But I'm not a bluegrass fan in general, and in this case I simply find the melody unlistenable. It's like chewing tinfoil.
