The vacationing shray (shraycationing?) will be sorry he missed a Ginger '68.

TOTHC: CCR, "Suzy Q", followed by Beatles, cursing Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid git.

Woo Hoo! Jane Fonda in Barbarella segues into the Amboy Dukes. Journey to the center of her, um, mind.

I've never seen Barbarella, amazingly.

last nite Little Steven played "Pictres of Matchstickmen", and that song is forever inextricably linked to "Journey to the Center" in my mind.

BOS Taj Mahal!

BOS2 Donovan -- wonder if Ginger watched Flight of the Conchords last nite -- their pitch-perfect psychedelic Donovan parody was a hoot.

Not feeling the trembling treble of "Hurdy Gurdy Man" today.  Or rather, there are a dozen other Donovan songs from '68 I'd much rather hear.

Got in just in time for the latter half of the tune--nice!

Now it's Donovan & Jimmy P. waxing poetic about the Hurdy Gurdy Man.

It's actually 3/4 of Zep, isn't it? Or am I confused?

Hadn't heard that, but it could be--this was right around the time they got together. I shall investigate.

Btw, that decidedly funky version of the Banana Splits theme was a new one on me--I've only heard the more bubble-gummy version.
