so much for Spot the Vinyl!

It doesn't matter if Mick goes stag
It doesn't matter if Keith goes drag.
It does matter when Motown covers go bad.

Stones live, "Going To A Go-Go"

When I saw the English Beat last month at Plaza de Cesar Chavez, Dave Wakeling introduced "Tears Of A Clown" by saying, "Well if that wasn't enough, now we're going to ruin a perfectly good Smokey Robinson song."

Which was funny when he said it, but in this context...too accurate.

No, it'll be the truncated-by-a-commercial-in-the-wrong-place version.

ETA: Not just one, now we're up to three commercials.  Yikes!

Ha Ha.  I was trying (and failing) to come up with something pithy for the occasion.

a "meh", if not a "feh" to Santana channelling Steve Winwood (at least it sounds like that to my ears).
