sorry (as always) to have missed a Rob late-'70s set:
Gerry Rafferty Baker Street
Elvis Costello (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea
Steve Forbert What Kinda Guy?
Blondie Heart Of Glass
Warren Zevon Tenderness on the Block
Rolling Stones Shattered
David Johansen Frenchette
Bruce Springsteen Prove It All Night (live)
Meat Loaf You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
Magazine Definitive Gaze
Meat Loaf, rare Zevon, Forbert, Johansen... and Magazine! Kudos, Rob. Catch the replay on this one.

working late on purpose so I can hear the replay.
In his lead-in Rob mentioned that in 1978, there was a rumor making the rounds that Mikey (from the Life cereal commercial) had died after washing some Pop Rocks down with some Cocal Cola.
I totally remember that!

Dang me!
I didn't recognize this Steve Forbert song from the setlist, but now that I'm listening to it, what a sledgehammer! My freshman roomate (who I recently caught up with in Atlanta after 20+ yrs) had this album & loved playing it.
ahhh...shrooms!

Flashback the Dallas theme
LOL for the All You Need Is Cash outtake, Eric Idle describing the Ruttles' early years where they "...created a musical legend to last a lunchtime."
Another flashback to Meatloaf:
On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the Wolf with the red roses?
Will he offer me his mouth?
Yes.
Will he offer me his teeth?
Yes.
Will he offer me his jaws?
Yes.
Will he offer me his hunger?
Yes.
Again. Will he offer me his hunger?
Yes.
And will he starve without me?
Yes.
...then does he love me?
Yes. On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the Wolf with the red roses?
Yes.
I bet you say that to ALL the boys!

This set trumps Dave's today as Set o' the Week-and-Possibly-Month, IMHO, as delightful as Mr Morey's '72 was. 1978 the way I remember it, and if Dave ever played Johansen I'd probably have a coronary.
