Ginger's sticking around to do 10@10 -- see if she can top Dave's surprisingly good '85 excursion from Tues.
-
TOTHC and BOS1: Power Station's "Some Like it Hot".
-
BOS2 "In Between" Cure!
-
BOS "In Between Days" - Cure.
Woo Hoo!

TOTHC and BOS1: Power Station's "Some Like it Hot".
Seconded!
-
on a roll! another BOS for the "Sunset Grill", my favorite DH song.
-
And a better Henley than Dave gave us: "Sunset Grill". Watch the basket people walk around and mumble, eatin' those greasy chili dogs.
-
OMFG!! Stranglers, "Skin Deep" -- super duper BOS3. Ginger's done it again!
-
4 fer 4!
BOS Stranglers! "Skin Deep"

BOS Stranglers! "Skin Deep"
You better watch out... for a 10-way tie!
-
Marlena on the BOS list.
-
Marlena on the wall,
it don't bother me at all,
standing solitude for fun . . .
-
5 for 5, one more BOS for "Marlene on the Wall"
quick scorecard Ginger vs. my Dave Db = 2 bustouts, 3 songs that Dave has played no more than thrice and none in the past 2 years.

Wow, I'd've bet Dave's played "Sunset Grill" alot more than that.
VHM Rue & Bea.
And an OMGWTF to another bustout, Willie & the Poor Boys, "baby Please Don't Go"

Mark, a story you once told about "Running Up That Hill" forever altered my understanding -- and appreciation -- of the song.
-
Ms Bush runs up that hill one mo' time.
-
BOS # whatever to rarely-heard Petty. "Make it Better" indeed!
-
It's frightening to think that people drank wine coolers in large quantities back then...
OMGWTFLOL! Fishbone!!! "Party at Ground Zero" Supercalifragilistic BOS!
-
Dang, got a phone call & missed the 2nd half. Sounds like it was fun, especially Fishbone!!!!

Well me too. It was one of those special requests on 91X in San Diego, where the Deejay reads the letter/email before playing the song. The gist of it was that the requestor, a mid 20's female, had been in the water of Mission Bay, maybe fell off her sailboard or something like that, and had been run over by a jet ski (if you've ever been to Mission Bay, this is a big problem to this day). She was struck in the head & nearly killed. The driver of the jet ski never stopped & by the time her friends rescued her and got her to the hospital there was no chance of identifying who had done it. She suffered brain damage and various attendant physical ailments, her life changed forever by that jet ski.
And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building,
Say, if I only could, oh...

It's frightening to think that people drank wine coolers in large quantities back then...
As opposed to today's flock of malternatives? (The Smirnoff ones are guilty pleasures of mine, I must confess.)

Every generation gets the near-beer it deserves.
