I heard Ginger say she's "in a Friday state of mind, so we're going back to____" and then a bunch of commercials started playing again.

Now nothing.

okay, now the stream has kisked in 2/3 of the way through Skynyrd's "Call Me The Breeze", which should make it 1974.

Oooo, Timmy Thomas, Why Can't We Live Together? Do I recall that this was the demo version, and they decided they couldn't top it so they just put it out as it was?

Was having a lengthy phone chat with Gaz & both of us were listening in the background.  He professes to have never heard Sade's version of WCWLT.  But we both loved hearing Gram & Emmylou.
