Marcus closed today's set by saying that Ginger's back tomorrow with 1990. Any requests?

as with Dave, my 1990 wishlist is mostly pop and R&B oriented:
Janet Jackson, "Black Cat"
Technotronic, "Pump Up the Jam"
Black Box, "Everybody Everybody"
Prince, "Thieves in the Temple"
etc -- not bloody likely, except maybe in a Ginger cheeze medley.
just as long as we don't hear Vanilla Ice.
-
WOO HOO! Brooce's cover of "Viva Las Vegas", TOTHC & BOS!
-
Damn! Depeche Mode, "Policy of Truth" -- BOS2.
-
VHM Cher & Winona in Mermaids.
"What's your major, Town Tramp?"
"No mom -- the town already has one!"
Ouch.
-
We heard Cowboy Junkies' "Cause Cheap is How I Feel", new to me. And now our first '90 Katrina, "Blue Sky Mine".
-
another new one on me: Poi Dog Pondering, "Everybody's Trying".
-
proxy of shray & urth, Little Feat's "Rad Gumbo", tho' I thought they were saying "Rat Gumbo". Ewww.
-
Yeah, that 'Feat tune was kinda nice. And this set hasn't been bad, just because we've heard a number of tunes that differ from the 90 sets DM plays, but I still can't I've had my world rocked. Guess 1990 was just that kinda year.
Btw, I'm guessing DM will go late 80s or 90s today in the local set. Just a hunch.

Sadly, methinks you're right. What happened to the "music from commercials" set? Did that idea fall by the wayside?
BOS3 TMBG, "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)", an erstwhile Morey Turkey.
-
Yikes, Winona Ryder twice in one set is too much Nonie for me. This is where the story ends, indeed.
-
ooo! 1970 tomorrow -- almost makes up for the fact that we may miss Bob's 1968 set due to the usual Thurs streaming nonsense.

Probably so--I haven't heard him mention it since, so unless he's filed it away for future ref it's probably been ashcanned. I messaged him to suggest the Polyphonic Spree tune that was in the VW/iPod ad, thus adding credence to the suggestion that he could do a whole set just of songs from Volkswagen commercials.
