Joan Armatrading, "The Weakness In Me" gets an early BOS from me.

Which you'll promptly rescind as "New Toy" comes on.  :)

Nah, I hear "New Toy plenty", never really flipped out over it even back in the day.  iirc, Thomas Dolby wrote this specifically for Lene.

VHM for the Police "Secret Journey" whic I think in retrospect was the first precursor to Stings solo body of work.

OMG!  BOS for The Howling trailer.

And here's one more BOS vote, for Depeche Mode "Just Can't Get Enough".

We walk together, we're walking down the street.
Every time I think of you, I know we have to meet.

It says here that Depeche Mode is the most egregiously underplayed artist by Dave Morey in his 10@10 career.

Well I for one Just Can't Get Enough of "New Toy", sorry I missed it.  Rob's so much more in tune with punk/New Wave; compare this to a typical Bob '81 set.

I was just about to make a "...pits of the world" comment but you beat me to it.

I'd certainly put 'em in the top 3, along with Carole King (based on ratio of stardom/importance to Dave-play) and a player to be named later.  other nominations?

Oh my yes, Janet especially -- we have not heard her once. I'd add MJ (we get "Billie Jean" a lot, and "Beat It" occasionally and "Thriller" at Halloween but nothing from Bad or after) and Madonnna (Dave has a fetish for "Vogue" but her mid-'80s pop peak goes ignored).

and on a related topic, WLNG just played Jane Child's "Don't Wanna Fall in Love" -- did Dave play that once or am I imagining things?  It certainly would liven up a 1990 set.
