My b-day is Sunday, but Friday sets are usually pretty good without any suggestions to Dave. So, I thought I might drop Dave a line & tell him my birthday is Monday and ask about having him play the Don Pardo clip "And now ladies & gentlemen...the LOOOONG Version," followed by a suitably long song. IIRC, the only songs we've heard the last few months that would have qualified were "Loan Me A Dime" & "Time Has Come Today".
I'd ask for something else, maybe even offering a short list of ideas. Songs that come to mind off the top of my head are:
Green Grass And High Tides Forever - Outlaws
Closer To Home - Grand Funk
Telegraph Road - Dire Straits
Marquee Moon - Television*
Three Days - Jane's Addiction**
Anybody got other nominees?
*this is my top choice that I think might have an oustide chance
** this is my top choice that I am sure Dave would never play

Mine would be the Doors' "Soft Parade" but that's '69 which was today. Didn't we hear "Telegraph Road" recently?

"All By Myself"
"In a Gadda-da-Vita"
(which make for an intriguing sentence when read back to back)
-
"In a Gadda-da-Vita"
In a garden of resumes? :P Then there's "In a Gadda-De-Vito" (insert Rhea Perlman joke here).
(I believe the Iron Butterfly tune is spelled "da Vida".)

I haven't heard CCR's "Suzie Q" in ages...
