Hey now!  It's the Goat's finest moment!  Double-tracked everything = solid gold, from the spoon to the vinyl.

Reds trivia - I'm not sure who it was, but I can tell you it was Supporting Actress, and not Beatty for Actor, not Keaton for Actress, and not Nicholson for Supporting Actor.  Oh wait, maybe Maureen Stapleton?

It was also the 2nd time Beatty got noms for acting, writing, directing & producing, which no one else has ever done even once.  Care to guess the other time he pulled that off?

I'm guessing Heaven Can Wait.  Orson Wells and Woody Allen didn't do that too?  I guess Woody lets other people produce.

I would imagine a sense of humor would come in handy when you're reuniting/spending a year on the road with Sting.

A bit more unexpected from Ginger, but although it's a great song I think I'll give my next BOS to "Another Tricky Day" instead.

The late great Hal Ashby directed Shampoo.

No, Mike was right, it was Heaven Can Wait.

Nicholson peresented the Irving Thalberg to Beatty a few years ago (same year a pregnant & due-any-minute Annette Bening was up for American Beauty, iirc), and he said this on the stage.  "He's the only ever to...and the bastard has done it TWICE."

But I just checked IMDb, and Welles appears to have done it for Citizen Kane, and just like Reds he only won once (writing)
