I'm listening to the beginning of Little Steven's show, since I missed the first 20 mins or so last nite because of the Oscars. His very interesting opening rant was his take on "illegal" immigrants and the non-English-speaking. followed by a set of:
"I'm Against It", Ramones
"Hotel Chambermaid", Graham Parker
"We Gotta Get Outta This Place", Animals
"Sayonara Blues", the Woggles
"What's So Funny/Peace Love Etc", Elvis C.
The man never ceases to amaze.

KCDX has been terrific this afternoon. Eagles' "Doolin' Dalton" followed by Firefall's "Cinderella" -- country rock lives!
-
Dude! Sweet! CG plays "Block Buster", their follow-up to "Little Willy", iirc, which didn't do anything in the States.
-
CG plays Kate Bush, "Man With The Child in His Eyes". Haven't heard this in eons.
Followed by another uniquely-voiced lovely, Ronnie Spector, with "Baby I Love You". Whoa-oh-oh-oh!
-
TANC: WLNG's '80s nugget o' the day is... Scandal, "The Waw-wee-uh."
-
OMGWTFLOL! My fave forgotten Boyce/Hart hit, "Alice Long"!!
-
I'm listening to MAX, in case they do their rumored format switch this afternoon, and I'm treated to REO, "Ridin' the Storm Out".
-
KCDX -- new to me: Steve Hackett, "Narnia", an ode to the book ("and the queen... cold as ice...") that sounds very late-'70s to me.
followed by the Electric Prunes, "Too Much to Dream"!!
-
so KCDX died on me and I switch to WLNG in time for this double shot o' soul: Jay & the Techniques, "Apples Peaches Pumpkin Pie" followed by the Staples' "Heavy makes You happy" Sha-la-boom-boom-yeah!
-
OMFG! Checkmates Ltd, "Black Pearl", a late-'60s Spector mini-masterpiece.
-
"Jam Up and Jelly Tight", one of the more ridiculous lyrics in pop history.

As an ode to lubricants, it's tops.

and the follow-up was called "Stir it Up and Serve it" (!). Both were written by Freddy Weller of Paul Revere & the Raiders, as was Roe's #1 hit "Dizzy".

Which I just learned from a certain gifted history of bubblegum . . .

CGSS has been stellar today. JB, gettin' up offa that thing one mo' time. Good GAWD!
and followed by Kid Creole, "Annie I'm Not Your Daddy" onna-onna-onomotopoeia!
-
wow, obscure J-5: "Skywriter".
-
'LNG Nugget o' the Day: Bobby Sherman, "Easy Come Easy Go".
-
Nugget #2: "Mr. Dyingly Sad". It's been decades since I heard that one.
