sap quotient rising slightly with Firefall's "Just Remember I Love You", but VHM anyway -- haven't heard this in some time.

I wish there were still a space in contempo music for this kind of sap.  I truly miss it.  (Nice congas on this one, too.)

Co-BOS with "Silly Love Songs," another musical memory from my earliest.  I now associate it with my 2001 move from SF to Boston: Soon after I arrived, I was in a sublet apartment in Cambridge Common.  I downloaded a demo of the Virgin Radio net-radio player and was playing their "Guilty Pleasures" playlist on my test-drive.  SLS came on; I hadn't heard it in a few years.  A breezy (and un-guilty) pleasure, it was.  (After that came "Rhinestone Cowboy," a slightly more guilty pleasure.)
