Bob will have to work hard to top Rob's stellar '72 set.
-
3DN, interpreting Paul Williams as well as anyone (except maybe Karen Carpenter). "Old-Fashioned Love Song", BOS, "comin' down in three-dog harmoneee..."
-
VHM Percy & the Zep, "R'n'R"
and prozy of Gaz, "LA Goodbye", one of Bob's most-played ChiTown faves.
-
BOS2 Chicago, "Lowdown", despite being a Morey Katrina it's sounding good to me this morning.
-
BOS3 Rod/Faces, "Stay Wit' Me". "With a face like that you got nothin' to laugh about."
BOS4 Bullet, "White Lies/Blue Eyes".

I'll definitely catch the replay of this set. But for the record, the greatest interpreter of Paul Williams was Jim Henson.

The lovers, the dreamers, and he.
Try to catch The Peak's replay too --that was the gem of the day.

Sounding especially lovely on the replay. This was one of the first songs I consciously remember adoring, back in the mid '70s. I think I saw them perform it on a Krofft-esque Saturday morning a.m. show. But this extended outro mix, I never knew before getting the 2-CD complete GH comp.
