jumping queues and makin' haste just ain't my cup o'meat. BOS5 Manfred Mann, second use of the word "queue" in today's set.

In the forthcoming film Factory Girl, about Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol, a "composite" character based on Bob Dylan is named "Quinn". Cute.

ooo! BOS6 Jimi, playin' in traffic.

Never knew that was the line!  (I thought it was "jumping kings," like a checkers game.)  Anyway, add in "Old Brown Shoe" and you've got a My Three Queues set!

Aurally speaking, it could easily be "jumping cues" which is legitimately a musician's/actor's term. But Top40db spells it "queue".

Surely there's at least one Elvis Costello song with the word "queue" in it...

Right there with you.  'Tho when I hear "I Wish It Would Rain," I can't help thinking of Dave's legendary '68 set with extended MLK reminiscence and nation-gone-haywire-to-"Time Has Come Today" clips.

Must admit that I prefer BJ's soundalike predecessor, "Deep in the Eyes of a New York Woman," which fared surprisingly worse chartwise.

I loved watching this so much in the '80s.

You guys (save for Geoff, of course) probably aren't aware that the Dead covered this song live for a time in the 80s. The first time they did it was at the end of what had been, to me, a totally forgettable show at the Coliseum, I think during a New Years run--nothing was working, everything seemed listless, totally predictable. They come back for the encore and lay "Quinn" on us and once everyone got thru going "what the f***? I don't believe they're doing this!!!", they own the place. Came completely out of left field.
