BTW, the player on the Drive homepage is blocked by the RIAA thing but the "backdoor" (thru geoff's link on this site) is working.

I always forget that this was on the first LP; it didn't become a hit single 'til a couple years later.

BOS Edgar, Rick and Dan, "Free Ride" -- I'm still trying to find Tavares' cover of this. (it was the B-side of their hit "My Ship".)

uh-oh, the Jean Genie is pulling the waiters again.

ETA: from the Dictionary of British Slang --

pull  verb. 1. To seduce a desirable person, to sexually attract someone. Also commonly heard in the male expression "pull a bird" meaning "to attract a female."

VHM David Essex, but most folks associate this song with 1974.

I saw it on one of the comps at Amoeba's "'70s" section last week.  Maybe one of the "Have a Nice Day" sets?

PS: I love that Amoeba has special sections for "Scientologists" and "Trust-Fund Folkies"!
