A true giant in rhythm & blues, and he never sang a note:

Crap--he fell and was injured at a Stones concert in October, he'd been in a coma since then.

didn't another ertegun pass away earlier this year? or was that just another turk american music guru?

that was Arif Mardin, the producer, a good friend of Ertegun's.
