BOS1 from me too.  That opening is such gorgeous atmosphere, makes me almost wish it were 7am.

PS: Last week I finally heard for the first time "Only a Lonely Heart Sees," Felix Cavaliere's 1980 solo hit, on Barry Scott's Lost45 playlist.  What a letdown!

BOS2: "Crosstown Traffic," which would be in my all-time Top 100 if it had been better produced (especially those massacred backing vox).

There has to be one of those in each Steve Miller lyric. It's some sort of law.

The Nuge is on record saying it probably *is* about drugs, but that at the time the band wrote it he was clueless about the possibility of that interpretation.

Y'all maybe didn't know this or just forgot, but back in the late 60's there were a lot of folks who were very interested in things like Transcendental Meditation and other forms of inner sprititual enlightenment who had *no* intention of getting involved with drugs.  Such as my folks.  It's not too far a stretch to imagine the Nuge is sincere about that.

Unrelated Nuge note: I tuned into WS Game 1 early enough for the player intros.  Did anyone else catch what music was being played as the bed for the stadium announcer?  It was the bridge from "Stranglehold"!  Almost made me want to change allegiances!

True, but how many of those people turned out to be right-wing morons?

All the ones who didn't take drugs.  Except my mom & dad.

And all the ones who did take drugs mellowed out considerably.  Except Bush.

No wonder the Republicans are having such success these days. The 80s were a GOP ploy to conquer the masses.
