Post by: ggould on October 05, 2006, 09:01:16 AM
1973!
The Doobie Brothers - Long Train Running
   The Who - 5:15
Paul McCartney - Live and Let Die
Seals & Crofts - Diamond Girl
   Frank Zappa - Montana
Steely Dan - My Old School
   Led Zeppelin - Dancing Days
   Sweet - Little Willie
   Jackson Browne - These Days
The Rolling Stones - Do Do Heartbreaker

not too bad; Who, Dan, Browne tracks look real sweet.

Damn.  I've been kind of obsessed with the Jackson Browne track of late.  Heard a cover of "These Days" by Nico not all that long ago; sounds exactly as you'd expect it to.  The song really fit my mood about a month ago.

To fully appreciate this song, you need to hear Gregg Allman's version from his Laid Back album.  Gregg gets credit as the arranger on Jackson's version too!
