I'll be shocked if Sting and Huey don't make appearances.
-
instant BOS TOTHC, "Rain on the Scarecrow".
-
I wish Petty wouldn't come around here no more.

I wish Petty wouldn't come around here no more.
Not me. I always get a kick out of this song.
-
BOS #1, Pete!

The song itself is fine. But it always evokes the image of him as the Mad Hatter -- the epitome (to me) of overblown visuals-for-visuals-sake Mid-'80s MTV.
Now here's a BOS I can get behind, "Secondhand Love".

BOS #1, Pete!
JCM woulda been BOS #1 if had gotten here earlier.
-
BOS #1, Pete!
agreed!
-
here's fogerty showing us just how much of the mastermind behind ccr he really was.
-
BOS3 Fogerty.
First time I heard this it was Dec '84 and I was waking up in a hotel room in Charleston, WV. I figured it was a CCR song I'd never heard, and thought "damn, it's true -- West Virginia really IS in a time warp."
-
simple minds! again, i know. i love this song.

I love his guitar work on this, but his vocals leave a little to be desired.
-
BOS #3, Jim Kerr at his most romantic.

in what way? his diction? LOL!
Seriously, he doesn't sound any different to me on this than on any CCR songs.

sorry, it's way too early in the AM for deadpan irony.

BOS4 Pee-Wee!
and -- OMGWTF! -- BOS5 DLR, "California Girls"!
i've always felt this version represented this particular california girl better than the original. maybe it was the chicks in the video...or the fact that there *was* a video to this song. :) maybe it's just the percussion.
gosh, i thought we were going to get aerosmith there for a minute with those big bad joey drums. but it's "radioactive." who is singing this song? is it paul rogers?

Yup -- I believe this was The Firm.
Don't be distractive/I'm radioactive
"distractive"??? WTF?
-

answered my own question. i never thought this was a bad company song, for some reason. weird. paul roDgers also plays the guitar (biting from fripp) in that song.

Those were chicks?
Seriously, I thought they were transformers! More.Than.Meets.The.Eye
They make for a nice bookend with Elton's "I'm Still Standing," at any mileage.
