Indeed, they're playing the Tribeca music hall Sunday night here in NYC. I'm thinking about going for the sole reason that I've never seen David Freiberg live and I wonder if they might trot out some of the 1971-1975 material that he sang on. The thought of hearing "It's Only Music" live would be worth the cost of admission alone.

Yes, that would be something indeed. I was fortunate enough to hear Freiberg sing Caroline before Marty rejoined. Great singer. Please let me know if you go, and post a review!

I have to take a pass, unfortunately: tickets are $40 plus the TicketBastard fees. And while I am able to write off expenses such as this, I really can't front the funds at this point.
On the bright side, though, I spent some of last night helping this lovely and talented keyboardist, Alexander, celebrate his birthday:

Can I get a Hell Yeah?

"Tinkle"? Water sports tend to make pianos go out of tune.

Here's the setlist I missed, courtesy of a JS newsgroup. I'm pained to have missed such non-obvious picks as "Hearts," "When the Earth Moves Again," and the gorgeous "Harp Tree Lament." And the show was apparently very poorly attended, so I would've had a good view of things.
Ah well ... we can't do everything we want.
