from the ridiculous to the sublime: BOS2 "Gimme Shelter" VVHM Merry Clayton on backing vox. "love, sistah, it's just a kiss away."

This ranked high on that Pitchfork Media best-songs-of-the '60s list.

I sense a 10-way tie here. And now the lusciously blonde Gayle McCormick & A Group Called Smith, with their Joplinesque (that's Janis, not Scott) reworking of "Baby It's You".  Big Brother Lite?

Not like I was that close. I did cheer him on. I cheered Hottie-burg for you too. Game kind of blew.

Was listening but not posting, today we are packing up my office & moving two buildings over.  Will try to listen as much as I can until 11:00, then I got to go to SFO to pick up my folks & kids who are returning after nearly a month in KC.  Then I gotta come back & finish moving.

Can you say Hectic Day?
