no Summer Set from Ginger either, kinda surprisingly.  But a better '91 start I can't imagine: Richard Thompson, "Vincent Black Lightning."

Yowza!  But you forgot the 1952 part.

BOS #2, "Superman's Song" great segue, but I can't place the movie clip.

VHM CTDs, "Superman Song" or whatever it's called. I've read several RAVE reviews of the new Supe movie. Can't wait.

Johnny Depp is on the cover of Newsweek & PotC II gets a very enthusiastic reveiw from them as well.

Now, POTC2 I have no interest in, unless it gets, like spectacular raves. The first one I avoided in theaters, caught up with it on PPV after Depp got his Oscar nom. It's an OK Jerry Bruckheimer noise-fest, Depp was very entertaining, but I really don't need to see him play that part twice.

Now if they really have Keith Richards play his dad in the third one...

That was new to me, and it was indeed nice.  But given his drug history, I thought he was singing "cop a line"

Turns out it was The Flash TV show, whose star, John Wesley Shipp, was outed by the Enquirer.  This really IS a Gay Pride Set!

Someone last weekend told me that that happens in the current one. Was I being gullible again?

BOS Thelma & Louise, VHM Pearl Jam "I'm Still Alive" still one of the best autobiographical songs of the past decade or so.

Keef turned the part down, but they tried to get him.

Hasn't Crazy (the Seal one, not the Gnarls one) showed up in some past Pride sets? You could sure make a case that there's a gay subtext to this set.

more likely "Kiss For the Dying", no?

BOS Zevon!  from Mr Bad Example? His late '80s/early '90s stuff never gets heard except on KPIG.  Sentimental Hygiene is one of the great lost '80s LPs, IMHO

Dave has at least once played "A Prayer for the Dying" right after an AIDS news montage, to striking effect.  I think that's what you're thinking of.

Sorry. "Prayer for the Dying", "Kiss From a Rose", all Seal songs kinda blur together for me...
