Oh My Yes. '60s much needed this morning.
Really wish I were tuned in. Predicted: Something from the Rascals (maybe "See"), and "Goo Goo Barabajagal." Whass' ma name, fool?
-
"i'd like to know, can you tell me, please don't tell me". BOS67&68.

"i'd like to know, can you tell me, please don't tell me". BOS67&68.
Those horns just cheer me right up, too.
-
Diana/Supes, "Someday We'll be Dave Morey Set-closer"

You took me by surpri-i-i-i-ise,
I didn't reali-i-i-ize,
That you were La-aughing...
...because I apparently have the hiccups
-

"Laughing"-O-L.
BOS Booker T, one of the seminal instrumentals, "endless vamp" or not, I could listen to it forever.
-
"you know where to put the cork"
well, I think we know where Pete would like to put it...
-
BOS, The Who.
see me
feel me
touch me
heal me
-
"a godness on a mountain top". Oh those wacky Dutch chicks. Must be the hash.

"you know where to put the cork"
When that line came up I was reading Gaz' post about the post-9/11 decision-making processes in the White House on the Rant & Vent thread.
-
BOS3 Janis, "Try", from a fine and largely forgotten LP.

Nifty horns on this too.

Bobby D sings to his dog, Lady. "stay, Lady! Stay!"
-
VHM CCR -- covering "Good Golly Miss Molly". I can't remember the last time I heard this on the radio.

I don't think he wants his dog to do it on his big brass bed.
-
Good Golly, a BOS for a little heard cover by CCR.
It's rockin'!

Chick, singular. Mariska was joined by three (very ugly) guys in the band.

BTW, have any of you ever heard their follow-up, "Mighty Joe"? It made it to #41 or #42 on the charts. Nice chunky groove, but more fractured English ("and then he made of me a woman"). I'd call it a precursor to Shakira, but then I'd be laughed at.

Eww. Glad I missed that one. Hate the lyric, hate his delivery of it.
-
OK, is it "a lady divorcee..." or "I laid a divorcee..."
Either way, BOS4 Stones.

They also had a song called "Never Marry a Railroad Man" which I remember liking.
