I'm early today, and boy am I glad! Just in time for Rev Al.
Oh what a lucky man, I are.
-
OMG! Lou Reed, "Vicious" -- one you'd think would be a Morey fave but that he's never played. BOS.
"You must think I'm some kinda gay blade..."
-
BOS2 Jerry, "Sugaree". Shake it, shake it.
-
It was reet petite! Or so Jackie Wilson Said. BOS3 Van the Man.
-
VHM Bing Crosby's Minute Maid OJ commercial. "Drink that damn juice or daddy'll beat the crap outta ya".
BOS4 Big Star, "Feel" -- a great Zep imitation I've never heard before.
Followed by BOS5, "Tumblin' Dice".
A wonderful set, worth catching on the replay for that Big Star tune alone.
-
OMGWTF! Paul Simon, "Congratulations", another little-heard track from that LP. BOS6. This is an early Set-Of-The-Week nominee.
-
Todd Rundgren - ???
Al Green - Let's Stay Together
ELP - Lucky Man
Lou Reed - Vicious
Carly Simon - You're So Vain
Jerry Garcia - Sugaree
Van Morrison - Jackie Wilson Said
Big Star - Feel
Rolling Stones - Tumbling Dice
Paul Simon - Congratulations
Dunno which Todd tune we missed; the "recently played" feature crapped out.

So nobody did a Macca birthday tribute, huh? Surprising, especially since the Peak's done several second- and third-tier birthday sets . . .

I highly recommend you catch this replay if you're home tonight.
