"Heart of the Night" -- Poco?
I was going to guess Jackson Browne. Snoozer loser either way.

Dang, I think y'all need to gain a finer appreciation of Poco. Of course that was Poco, and it's good stuff!

ETA:
I fell so high
I even touch the sky
above the falling rain.
...
Wake up and turn I loose
for the rain is falling.

I saw Poco on their inaugural tour at Rob Gym. Maybe they were opening for Canned Heat? They were kinda fun at the time, a bit of cowboy posers, but that was then.

Agreed -- of course the early stuff is more interesting than this pleasantly generic comeback LP, but overall a fine career. And if (as Gaz does) you appreciate America and Firefall...

DAMN!!!!!!!! I thought Ginger was gonna give us all of "Feels So Good," which would have been my Best Of Week.
-
BOS Cheeze medley -- any of those 4 songs woulda got a BOS from me, especially Mr. Loaf-Aday.
-
VHM to Elvis C in one of the greatest moments of televised rock rebellion ever.

Woulda been much more welcome than the umpteenth playing of this Joe Walsh tune.
-
ahhhh, the Super Hit 6 cheeze medley....
As I believe I have related before, Chuck Mangione supplied me with the opportunity for my first kiss.
St. Louis radio note: KSHE 95 was THE authentic Rock station in St. Louis since '69, but when Elvis came through in '78 a different, Pop oriented station got the promotional rights for his show, and they filled his head with a bunch of BS about KSHE selling out, when in fact this station (their then call letters escape me) was less than a year from going "Lite Rock Less Talk", and KSHE remained the flagship for another 20 years. The upshot: Elvis is onstage & says, "This next song is for those fuckers at KSHE," and launches into "Radio, Radio".
Ooops!!!!

There really ought to be an unwritten rule in radio that says you can't play the Police in the same set as Marley. You know?

-
Oh My. BOS Neil, "Four Strong Winds" -- a highlight of the recent Jonathan Demme/Neil Young docu.
