compare & contrast with Dave's above average set from Monday.
Thomas Dolby loves us but says goodbye.

I was actually thinking Monday that Dave managed to avoid one of his fave '92 Katrinas: "I Love You Goodbye". And here it is.
-
I'm not at all familiar with this Sarah McLachlan tune, but I might be liking it.
-
OOhh, BOS #1 Los Lobos "That Train Don't Stop Here Anymore" from Kiko. One of my desert island discs.
-
BOS #2 & proxy for Alicat, Neil "War of Man".
-
Well, I'll VHM Neil but I'm a tad underwhelmed so far.

Oh damn. I was working on something else and missed this. Perhaps just as well: I have that song permanently affixed to a specific moment in time and probably didn't need to revisit it today.

Does Peter Pumpkinhead whelm you?
-
BOS XTC, "Peter Pumpkinhead".
-
the inevitable unplugged Clapton.

BOS XTC, "Peter Pumpkinhead".
Great, great song, still applicable today of course, and somehow covered by Crash Test Dummies without disaster ensuing. In fact, in some ways I preferred the CTD version though I barely heard it.

Gabriel taking the "Steam" out of this set. I generally am a big PG fan, but I find this song so derivative.
-
k. d. lang sounding good.

Agree fully, and I'm also a huge fan of his. But Steam sounds like Big Time recycled. Luckily the rest of the album is better (and the live show on this tour was amazing.)
But this K.D. Lang is sounding oh so nice...

indeed -- BOS2, so nice to hear something other than "Constant Craving" from this album.
-
nothing like a little Marley to round out the set.
