BOS1 (first of many, I'll wager): Beau Brummels, "Just A Little". Go Sal!

There was an article in the Chron about the Beau Brummels last week.  The lead singer has recently put out his first solo album to solid reviews.

Kim Weston, BOS #2.

I smell some Dylan in this set, plus some Beatles, natch.

ooo! Miss Kim Weston, the orig of "Take Me In Your Arms (and Rock Me)".  Poor Kim. Great Voice, but Berry Gordy thought she was too... big-boned. He preferred the skinny Miss Ross.

Well we got Yardbirds, but I want more British Invasion, like some early Who or Kinks.

ETA:  I also want to some early garage rock OHW's.

Indeed. A Little Steven fave (as are all early Kinks tunes).

1965: a Wooly Bully pulpit!

Brilliant little bit with Sound of Music there, Bob.

Now Mr Burdon singing one of Mann & Weil's best lyrics.

Did I say 10-Way Tie? there, I just did.

I've gotten almost everything I asked for, now we just need a little more soul patrol to wrap it up.

ETA: Wow!  Brother Ray most definitely qualifies.  "What'd I Say?"  I said Thanks Bob!

I think Ray Charles' "What'd I say?" qualifies, eh?  Damn, this set was fine.
