Bob's opening "love" montage" is just f--ing brilliant.  Hope the songs measure up.  Is this the first Theme Set he's ever done?

"for those of us who knew the pain
of Valentines that never came..."

TOTHC: Searchers, "Love Potion #9"

BOS Bread, as lovely a debut single has there has ever been. The "mellow '70s" began here.

I'm hoping Bob ends with "Love Stinks" just for the sake of balance.

Highlight of Little Steven's Valentines show: "He Hit Me (and it Felt Like a Kiss)", segued into Lou Reed's "Vicious".

BOS2 the Mighty Zep. Not your typical sappy ballad, that's for sure.  Kudos Bob!

What strange, idiosyncratic choices throughout the set.  Coulda done without Ready Freddy, but at least the Van wasn't "Have I Told You Lately?"

well, I guess necrophilia is love. Sorta.  Most bizarre choice of set: ELP, "Still... You Turn Me On".  Coulda been worse -- he coulda played Alice Cooper's "Cold Ethyl".

I've always assumed a LOT of people say "Indian" instead of "India".

So you are taking this line, "Though your flesh has crystallised still...you turn me on," literally?

Dude!  It's Prog Rock!  The lyrics don't make sense.

Do you want to be an angel,
Do you wanna be an angel
Do you wanna be a star
Do you wanna play some magic
On my guitar
Do you wanna be a poet
Do you wanna be my string
You could be anything

Do you wanna be the lover of another undercover
You could even be the
Man on the moon

Do you wanna be the player
Do you wanna be the string
Let me tell you something
It just don't mean a thing

You see it really doesn't matter
When you're buried in disguise
By the dark glass on your eyes
Though your flesh has crystallised
Still...you turn me on

Do you wanna be the pillow
Where I lay my head
Do you wanna be the feathers
Lying on my bed
Do you wanna be the cover
Of a magazine
Create a scene

Every day a little sadder
A little madder
Someone get me a ladder

Do you wanna be the singer
Do you wanna be the song
Let me tell you something
You just couldn't be more wrong

You see I really have to tell you
That it all gets so intense
From my experience
It just doesn't seem to make sense
Still...you turn me on

Well, I guess "debut single" should read "first hit", tho' I don't believe their first LP got any notice.
