Heh.  Apparently it's the biggest one-day snowfall in NYC history, 26 or so inches?  I'm fortunate to be able to walk everyplace I need to go.  Quite lovely if you don't have anyplace you need to be.

I really wish I was there at times like this -- seriously.

But I can't believe 26 inches is the record, coulda sworn there were bigger snowfalls in my youth.  Last big storm for me was in Feb '83 (the mid-to-late '80s did not provide any blizzards). We got about a foot-and-a-half, and I remember coming up out of the subway at 66th & B'way and walking across Richard Tucker Park (a tiny triangle with some benches) at about 5:30am and seeing what appeared to be the outline of a body underneath all the snow on one of those benches.  I never found out if it was actually a person or just bags of garbage.

Annalisa's in Boston on vacay, so for today's My 3 Songs Rosalie played Snow Patrol, Coldplay & Icehouse.  (I'd have rather heard Icicle Works, but hey that's just me.)
