"Tears in Heaven" was, iirc, on the cusp of '91/'92.

Back-to-back sledgehammers for me: BNL's "Brian Wilson" and REM's "Nightswimming."

There's not a single person in America in my demographic (collegiate 1991 - 1995) who did not play this song to DEATH during its modernity.  HM to "Friday I'm in Love."

VHM Alien 3, I'm one of the few people who liked it, I think.

BOS2 "Divine Thing"!  If the Stones did a covers album, this song should be at the top of their list.

BOS3 U2.  Again, Rob is the Ginger of the East.  A more-than-tolerable '92 set:

MRS. RITA - GIN BLOSSOMS
TEARS IN HEAVEN - ERIC CLAPTON
BRIAN WILSON - BARENAKED LADIES
NIGHTSWIMMING - R.E.M.
NOT ENOUGH TIME - INXS
FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE - THE CURE
GIRL IN ROOM 12 - SMITHEREENS
DIVINE THING - SOUP DRAGONS
EVEN BETTER THAN THE REAL THING - U2
SILENT ALL THESE YEARS - TORI AMOS

VHM2 Kate Bush Lite, er, I mean, Tori Amos.

I liked it too, and thought then that this director might make some interesting movies down the road.  And his next 3 films were Se7en, The Game & Fight Club.

If you got your covers wish that would be incredible symmetry, since the Soup Dragons biggest hit was a Stones cover.
