The odds of that are certainly better with Ginger (or Rob) than with Dave. If Dave would do with '89 what he did with '87 the other day, I'd be floored. The XTC is a good omen , at least.

True, but at the time when I charted 16 '87 sets from Dave this particular song only showed up once. The other 2 FYC songs combined for 12 appearances. If Ginger can eschew "Yellow Moon" & Crowded House we'll be okay.
ETA: Oh well, I guess not. Ginger if you see this later, it's not that we hate The Nevilles (or Crowded House) but they become extraordinarily predictable in KFOG sets. I think we generally do dislike FYC tho'. :)

Ginger: not that we don't like the song, just that Dave plays it in (what seems like) 75% of his '89 sets. And in case no one explained, in our parlance a "Katrina" is a song or artist that comes up too-frequently in a particular year. Named after Katrina & the Waves, because Dave used to play "Walking on Sunshine" a LOT.

This and the Stones song were both present when Dave did 89 last week. I'm just sayin. Probably because I'm bummed to have missed the XTC and the Tanita Tikaram.

Daniel Lanois makes for a strong closure. BOS #3. Better than average, compared to Dave, for sure.

OMG!!! BOS to Daniel Lanois, from Acadie--another album DM has never touched, at least not in the context of 10@10.
ETA: Although if I read the previous posts correctly, this and Yellow Moon constitute something of a twin-spin, as I think Lanois produced that album.

Yep, I just checked to see what his other credits are: produced by, mixed by, keyboards, guitars, & backing vocals.
ETA: I saw them on tour supporting this album when, for one night only, they opened up for Jimmy Buffet. That was a great show, not least because I had just found out (when I chauffered them in San Diego 2 days earlier) that 3 of the guys in the Coral Reefer Band know my mom & I had gotten free tix from them.

I heard it many years ago, and used to hear it regularly at the Duplex when I hung out there (it was a jukebox favorite among many), all the while thinking it was a Tennant/Lowe original for Liza. Was actually schooled on this a month ago in a conversation with Chuck Eddy, and I wish I could've heard it here.

A perfectly reasonable assumption, it certainly sounds like it coulda been a PSBs composition. Ms Tikaram sounds kinda like a white Tracy Chapman, vocally... but in a good way, if that makes sense.
