This is sweet, yet we should enjoy while it lasts.  Ginger is going to the 80's &, due to technical difficulties, Dave is giving us a repeat today.

I wondered if the Morning Show's relocation to the backup studio would have any effect on the "Fogheads at Fifteen" set.  Guess we'll get it Monday. Actually, a "classic" from '68 or '69 would be preferable as far as I'm concerned.

LOL!

In the '80s there was a popular Punk/New Wave rock club on Long Island called "Spit!" and their commercials featured a sneering voice saying their name, "Spiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!". So one radio ststion produced a parody spot for a club called "Snot", with an equally sneery voice saying "You think it's a rock club, but it's 'SNNOOOOOT'!"

can't find it on Yahoo! maps...

I love this song but I always forget the awkwardness of this one line until I stumble across it each time:  "...through the too many miles and the too little smiles..."

sb "too few"

It actually works if you read it as "...through the too many miles and the two little smiles..."

Yup, think so. With her daddy's permission, as I recall.

yes, but I think Mr Glitter (allegedly) had pics of kids much younger than 14 on his hard drive.

poetic license and meter don't make something stop being awkward.  That's why I prefer to think of it as "She only smiled at him twice."

I'm going to regret belaboring this, but it also works if you think of it as "too-little smiles," as in, the grins aren't broad enough, so don't smile a little smile for me, Rose Marie.  It'd be a lame and uninteresting observation, but it'd be grammatically correct.

Wow, big BOS to "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down."  I can't hear this as anything but its moment in The Last Waltz.  So powerful.

not to mention that the J. Baez version fudges the lyrics.
