BOS to Neil, "Mansion on the Hill," which I don't recall ever hearing before. Never hear him sound so Springfield-like in his solo work!
-
VHM to INXS, "Suicide Blonde," a great example of how a really good producer can cobble together a well-formed pop song from fragmental ideas. There's not that much structure to SB but it sounds like a key element in their catalogue.

Oh, whee, I broke 3000 posts sometime this week!
-
CRADLE OF LOVE - BILLY IDOL
MANSION ON THE HILL - NEIL YOUNG
SHAKING THE TREE - PETER GABRIEL
TEXAS TWISTER - LITTLE FEAT
SUICIDE BLONDE - INXS
EVERY LITTLE THING - JEFF LYNNE
HARD TO HANDLE - BLACK CROWES
APOLOGY - THE POSIES
COOL DRY PLACE - TRAVELING WILBURYS
ISTANBUL NOT CONSTANTINOPLE - THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS
This is like an amalgam of Dave & Ginger. Nice to hear TMBG twice in one week. Glad I missed "Cradle of Love"

"Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in!"
BOS to this Posies tune for novelty alone.

OK, Jeff Lynne AND Traveling Wilburys in the same set? Overkill.
But BOS2 TMBG. It's nobody's business but the Turks!

The Wilburys song was hideous. Like someone was writing a bad Dylan parody, like one of those "Bad Faulkner" contests.

one hopes the song wasn't written by Mr Zimmerman hisself.

Wow!! The Posies? I don't think I ever recall hearing them on commercial radio--ever.
