I haven't looked to see how other sets from 2000 have shaken out, but this one could easily the best ever for that year.

Agreed. AL has now done two fabulous sets for the last decade of 10@10 years (1994-2003) in one week. As I've often said, it's not so much the year as the selections and thought that goes into it.
