With all due respect to Annie Lennox- I never really need to hear this song again.

Ditto, even though I'm blanking on the name of the song.

That pic's from the $25K Pyramid, right?  Love the tilting Nipsey.

Well, except that it reminds me of the wacky lyrics some friends who were trying to lose weight wrote for this song...

I'm just walkin off

I guess there was no way of getting through 1992 without going through Cack Blows.  Sorry, but I'm kinda sick of them; everything they did sounds alike to me except "Remedy."

Yeah, I kinda don't need to hear that Nirvana song ever again, either.

Gosh, it's been weeks since we've heard from Tom & Katie. I wonder how those crazy kids are doin?

And i do mean "crazy"....

Tempted to BOS this INXS tune (it is INXS, yes?) just because I don't think we've ever heard it before.

In fact, I think I will.

Hey, just curious and since the set is nothing special I figured it was a good time to ask:

What's your preferred method of tendering your BOS votes w/DM--phone, e-mail or IM?

I've been using IM, just because it's fairly surreptitious as far as my coworkers are concerned, and I get a little more of a response from Dave than I used to with e-mail, even if it is just "okiedokie!"

(I'm assuming he doesn't lurk & tally what we post here.)

Just sayin'.

I always use email, though I don't manage to vote most of the time.  I NEVER get a response no matter how much suck-up mode I employ.

I don't IM at all anymore (tired of people taking affront when I don't have time to chat with them at odd hours of the night).  Generally my BOS votes are only share with you folks, but once in a blue moon I email Dave a note, which he may or may not tally.

BOS Knopfler/Straits/Notting Hillbillies (?)  ... The John Anderson version was a huge country hit and Knopfler played on it iirc.

VHM Neil, his last venture into folkier stuff before the current album.

Neil, in full self-plagiarism mode.  He even mentions "Old man..." in the lyrics, so I guess he knew what he was doing.  Still in all, a good song.

So who's the female singer? Shawn Colvin? Nancy Griffith? Interchangeable, either way.

And did I miss it, or was there no bumper between the Neil tune and this one?

same here.  listened to the whole set but was only interested in the INXS, Knopfler & Neil.

I vote by phone or email, sometimes both if I feel strongly (shhh, don't tell!).  I sometimes have a bit of a chat with Dave if I manage to call when no one else does, but other times I try to say a 2nd sentence and he kinda cuts me off.

I don't have IM set up at all, for the same reason that I've never tried crack.  I've seen what it has done to some friends of mine, so.........

I know what you mean. I rarely sign on to AIM any more, thanks to a few friends who ambush me at the worst times. Ya just gotta be able to say, "sorry, gotta go." Unfortunately, one of the groups I work with uses YIM for work communication, so I gotta stay connected there while I'm at the office. (Luckily the aforementioned friends haven't figured that out yet.)

However, I have no use for the people in restaurants and bars who are madly IM'ing on their PDAs about god knows what. My god, man, just be in the moment. Whoever's on the other end can live without your deathless prose for a few hours. </ rant>
