Hope this is a good set.

Hope this is a good set.
You'n'me both, baby. And so a year that once came up every 6 - 7 weeks or so becomes a "monthly visitor" -- so "Blood & Roses" is an appropriate TOTHC.
-
Byrne's wearin' filthy 'jamas!
-
"I still believe" that this Call tune has Been a Katrina for a while now...
-
Woke up with crankypants on, and this set ain't helping. Co-BOS to Smithereens and "I Still Believe," with a fear that the Call is yet to come.
-
Kudos to Dave for actually playing some Madonna.

Oh, that *is* the Call? I didn't know!

er, that WAS the Call, no? But BOS Madge, "Ronnie Don't Preach".

And now, once again ... the inferior "Dreamtime." While the Daryl Hall one, a Top 5 hit, remains in wait for its bustout.

-
Byrne's wearin' filthy 'jamas!
BTW, Top40DB says the lyric is "fur pajamas" -- WTF?
-
Is this a Pretenders bustout? BOS in any case.
-
another inferior track -- the remake of "Pretty in Pink". Much prefer the orig.
-
Had a 10am meeting--looks like I picked a good day for it.
Might have cast a BOS vote for the Smithereens, nothing else seems to be that notable.
VHM Psych Furballs (not to be confused with fur pajamas), the *other* version of Pretty in Pink.
-
Had a 10am meeting--looks like I picked a good day for it.
I wish *I'd* had a 10am meeting -- I have one Friday, so we'll undoubtedly get a '60s "classic" then.
-
this is *far* from a magical potion, actually...
-
AAAAAAAACK! WOS Rush, even if the seg from GM/Flint to "Big Money" was fairly clever.

We definitely have different musical tastes. These 80's sets I love. I would love to miss those 60's and early 70's sets. I hate those. I find them boring.

As I've said before, I don't hate the '80s, just Dave's sometimes limited take on them. The more recent the year, the less likely we are to hear a wide range of R&B and pop, which is why Madonna stood out for me in this set.
