KPOO's playin' dirty blues songs again. "Let Me Play with Your Poodle" LOL!
I got a man who likes to hucklebuck
When he comes home all he wants to do is...
-
After treating us to Eddie Murphy's "Party All the Time", KPOO plays somebody (dunno who) ripping off Marvin Gaye with a song called "Sexual Therapy". Quite shameless, whoever it is.
-
JJ's Tues morning Soul Jam: John Lee Hooker's version of "I Left My Heart in San Francisco"!
-
Today, it's capitalradio.us -- nothing to do with CG, it's an oldies stream, kinda like WLNG without the local commercials or wacky jocks. Broad range o' stuff ('50s thru '80s) and some very nice lost nuggets including Dawn's "What Are You Doing Sunday?", the Association's "Goodbye Columbus" and Rufus Thomas "Walkin' the Dog".
-
nice long live Bruce version of "Because the Night"
-
on WLNG: "Pepino the Italian Mouse". As Italo-American novelties go, this makes "Shaddap You Face" seem like Mozart.
Followed by "Rock Me Gently", Andy Kim doing the Best. Neil. Diamond. Imitation. EVAH!
-
WLNG Nugget o' the Day: Bettye Swan, "Make Me Yours".
-
Let the record show that it was December 1, at 5:32pm, on Capitol Gold, that I heard the amazing amazing "Fairytale of New York" for the first time this season. Y'know, it's being re-released in competition to be this year's Christmas #1 in England.

"Have you stuck your tree up, yah?"
I love British DJs.

CGSS -- Boz, "What Can I Say?". Woo Hoo!
-
Greg's ssssmokin'! Womack & Womack, "Love Wars", and En Vogue, "My Love -- You're Never Gonna Get It". Ah gives to the needy, and not the greedy!
-
Greg's disco threefer: KC, Gonzalez, and Anita Ward. If Ali's listening, this is ringing her bell.
-
More for Ali: Teddy's "Don't Leave Me This Way".
-
