Gazoo's Three Songs

(1/9) > >>

Gazoo:
1. Golden Earring, "Twilight Zone"

2. David Bowie, "Ashes to Ashes"

3. Pat Benatar, "Love Is a Battlefield"

mshray:
the first two contain lyrics tha later became 80's new wave titles, but I'm not sure about the Benatar

1. Golden Earring, "Twilight Zone" -> "Destination Unknown"

2. David Bowie, "Ashes to Ashes" -> "Major Tom"

3. Pat Benatar, "Love Is a Battlefield" -> "?"

Gazoo:
I'd never made the "Twilight Zone" - "Destination Unknown" connection, but that's a great observation.  Unfortunately, it's not what I was looking for.  :)

--- End quote ---

is it something specific to the lyrics or not?

Not the lyrics per se, but the approach to singing them.
