BOS2 Prince, shakin' his body like a horny pony would... but really this is an all-too-typical '88 set.

Not a bustout, but only barely. Alphabet Street has only shown up once previously in the DB, in March of '06.
Let's get right to it.

Seriously? Wow, I'd've bet we've heard it at least twice before today. (unless you're not including "classics")

TANC - I was just watching that video with my visiting friend Dave* yesterday!

PS: Fussy note - Johnny Hates Jazz is a OHW in spirit, but not in name; "I Don't Want to Be a Hero" made the Top 40.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

4.  Alphaville – Forever Young (BEST OF SET!)

Damn, I was on the phone for that one -- that's easily as rare as "Alphabet St" and woulda been a BOS from me. 10 frink points if you remember the Laura Branigan cover version.

I can't claim any Laura Branigan points, but I do remember that during my college years (91-95), a large number of international students took particular interest in this song.  I never knew quite why that was.
