JJ's Tuesday jam is slammin' with Diana & Marvin, followed by Jackie Moore's "Sweet Charlie Babe".
and -- lawdy! -- It's Bobby Womack's fab cover of "Sweet Caroline"! "ah like this part". And JJ fave (and mine too) the DEE-troit Emeralds, "Do Me Right". Gon' buy you a wash-machine and ironin' board!
OMGWTF: the drummer from Charles Wright's Watts 103rd St Band doing a "Loveland" sound-alike. I mean, literally the same melody with new lyrics! LOL! James Gadson is his name:

"Let a Woman Be a Woman, Let a Man Be a Man" -- Dyke & the Blazers with the riff that was sampled on "How ya Like me Now?"

Listening to Little Steven's Valentines show (part 1) and he plays 2 great, lost female vocals:
Evie Sands, "Any Way That You Want Me" and the Lorraine Ellison version (the original) of "Stay With Me Baby".

Larry Grogan, on his fab radio show/podcast, plays yey another version of "California Soul" (the 4th I've now heard) by Smokey & the Miracles. Groovy, baby.
and he follows with that wonderful soul take on "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by the Kelly Bros. Bettah get READY!
But he completely blows my mind with the NTM 10-minute "Dance to the Medley" by Sly -- "Music is Alive/Dance-In/Music Lover" from '68.

1340 The Boardwalk is slammin' this morning with Bob Kuban's classic "The Cheater", followed by Billy Paul's Philly-disco cover of "Only the Strong Survive" -- the weak fall by the wayside!

KUSF deejays are at Amoeba in SF broadcasting "in exile," and it's streaming today until 3 PM PST on http://www.wfmu.org
they're spinning some good shizzle.
I think each DJ got a half hour to play, which means the punk DJ (Carolyn) spun about 15 complete songs.
Stereo Steve just played Wire's Outside Miner and They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa! by Napoleon XIV. I forgot how great that one is...RIGHT?
