Tue 7/17/12: 1970

how will this compare to AL's set yesterday? No Melanie, I'm guessing.

BOS1: Badfinger walk away from a fool and his money.

Van the Man investigates the Domino theory. Is he getting some "heavy rest"? "heavy breasts"?

BOS2 the Dead when they were (briefly) good: "Uncle John's Band"

VHM Tull; BOS3 JT on a country road.

Burdo(L)n: "Spill the Wine"

Holy crap: BOS4FRA, Spirit, "Mr Skin".

Bob's first shared song with yesterday's AL '70 set: the uber-LN "Tears of a Clown"

VHM CCR; Wish Bob had played any other George tune but "Sweet Lawd".

Badfinger - Come and Get It
Van Morrison - Domino
Grateful Dead - Uncle John's Band
Jethro Tull - Teacher
James Taylor - Country Road
Eric Burdon & War - Spill The Wine
Spirit - Mr. Skin
Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - Tears of a Clown
CCR - Who'll Stop the Rain
George Harrison - My Sweet Lord

Wed 7/18/12: 1981

even Bob-in-the-'80s can't be worse than Rob's 1998 set was. (ETA: actually... yes. yes it can)

But Bob's trying his best to be crappy: "No Reply At All" followed by Henly & the Goat.  WOS 1 & 2.

VHM Billy Squier for cheeze factor alone.

WOS3 Rush, but of course. Nice car, tho'.

WOS4 live Seger.

LN: "Jessie's Girl". It certainly sounds pleasant in the middle of this AOR crapfest, but the point is prob'ly moot.

BOS Jr Walker's sax on "Urgent"

LN2: "Start Me Up". Sheesh, Bob. This set could make a dead man... stay dead.

VHM BOC, Burnin' for you. There's an ointment for that, guys.

WOS5 Journey.

Genesis - No Reply At All
Stevie Nicks & Don Henley - Leather and Lace
Billy Squier - My Kinda Lover
Rush - Red Barchetta
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock & Roll (live)
Rick Springfield - Jessie's Girl
Foreigner - Urgent
Rolling Stones - Start Me Up
Blue Oyster Cult - Burnin' For You
Journey - Still They Ride

Thur 7/19/12: 1968!

LN: S&G, deet-dee-dee--dee-dee.

Always a BOS for Rob Grill and the fabulous horn chart of "Midnight Confessions"

uber-LN2: "Piece of My Heart"

LN3: Jimi; LN4 Canned Heat. Y&S.

BOS2 "Blackbird"; BOS3 Donovan.

LN5 Steppenwolf.

BOS4 Monkees. I love her valleri -- it's the loveliest valleri I've ever seen.

nice to see that Chicago loves "San Francisco Girls", but I didn't really need to hear it today.

S&G - Mrs. Robinson
Grass Roots - Midnight Confessions
Big Brother Holding Company ft. Janis Joplin - Piece of My Heart
Jimi Hendrix Experience - All Along the Watchtower
Canned Heat - Going Up The Country
Beatles - Blackbird
Donovan - Hurdy Gurdy Man
Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride
Monkees - Valleri
Fever Tree - San Fancisco Girls (Return of the Native)

here's hoping AL's '67 set is a tad less cliche-ridden.

Hey man -- it's a total blam-blam (and hopefully not a total 'trina-fest).

BOS1 "Immigration man" soothes my irritation, man.

Mr Simon samples the Chinese menu. VHM.  Eat too much and you'll be thick as a brick, Paul.

Awwww: BOS2 "Danny's Song", orig L&M version.

The Doobs rock down the highway.

Stevie spreads some "Sunshine" -- VHM Jim Gilstrap's supporting vocals.

BOS3 Stones "All Down the Line"

LN: Gary Glitter.

Bowie - Suffragette City
Crosby & Nash - Immigration Man
Paul Simon - Mother and Child Reunion
Jethro Tull - Thick As a Brick
Loggins & Messina - Danny's Song
Doobie Brothers - Rockin' Down the Highway
Stevie Wonder - You Are the Sunshine of My Life
Rolling Stones - All Down the Line
Gary Glitter - Rock & Roll, Pt. 2
Jackson Browne - Doctor My Eyes
