WDAS-AM in Philly (my new fave) has added actual jocks, after being an automated jukebox for a few months. A good sign, esp since they're owned by Cheap Channel.

JJ On The Radio is back ... on the radio. His normal Soul Sounds of from the 70s (pre Disco) was cast aside this morning for some R&B and funky Music Of The Bay Area. Dang, I wished he published playlists.
He just played Rodger Collins - Foxy Girls In Oakland (1970)

glad he's back -- the last few Saturday nites were painful without him. But I'm listening to the Drive's "city songs" set at the moment.

He's doing an expanded version of this "all-local" Bay Area show tonite. Pretty damn fab. This soulful take on the "ballad" arrangement of Wacky Sedaky's "Breakin Up Is Hard to Do" by Jimmy Bee (who?) is swell.
