Quicksilver did a better version of this.

Just before the set, KBCO played BNL's "One Week," first time I'd heard that in a few years.  Still crack up at a few of those lines.  OTOH, was there ever a least likely candidate for "rock star busted with coke" than Stephen Page?

just being my snarky self. I like GT well enuf, but that "I'm the handsomest man in Rock'n'Roll" thing has always irked me

Just wondering if you were reacting to Ginger's mention of him buying the Bo Diddley GH album in 1966 (when he was a 16-yr old baseball star who later got into the minors*) based on a comment he heard Mick Jagger make about Diddley's influence on the stones.

interesting comparison.  While Ocasek had no less than 3 songs that peaked at #41 on the Hot 100, Lonesome George never charted anywhere other than Mainstream Rock Tracks, where he had a #2, #3, #4, and a #5 hit.

I defy anyone to name his highest charting hit, which came in 1993.
