Every year The Oscars seems to forget to mention someone in their "In Memoriam" segment -- this year it's Abe Vigoda.

I read someone speculate that he was omitted because he died in 2016, but Bowie was included and he died on Jan 10th.

Alan Rickman died this year too and was included. The In Memoriam traditionally covers Oscarcast-to-Oscarcast, since they got tired of people bitching about "so-and-so died in February." Makes more sense that way. Poor Abe.
