The Sound, 10/16/09: Mystery theme
« on: October 16, 2009, 10:10:21 AM »
So far we've had:

1. Elvis Costello: Alison
2. Warren Zevon Lawyers, Guns And Money
3. Stevie Wonder: Living For The City

I think I know what the theme is...

Hmmm, Lisa Loeb's "Stay" is supposed to give it away, but I'm not getting it yet.

Dang, I tried not to see, but when I replied to your message I saw the URL.  Oh well, well-done for you, and a funny theme.

I made the rather obvious mistake of focusing on the songs.  And I see why Lisa Loeb should have given it away  ;D

By Jove, I think you've got it. So can we expect Buddy Holly next?
Let's get right to it.

Definitely!  I like this game, but I'm not thinking of anything...

How about Thomas Dolby?

Heeeeere's Buddeeeee!

I bought a used CD from Rasputin, forget which, and when I opened it up, it contained a Buddy Holly CD as well.  The owner obviously forgot to take it out.

Score!

I vote for the Young Fresh Fellows:

reminds me of They Might Be Giants.  One of the John's --  John Flansburgh -- wears specs, too.
AND they have a song, called Twisting,  which mentions the Young Fresh Fellows
