i don't know if that's a cry for help, or not (humming rick astley........."...there! if you cry for help....need....mmmm.....is all i need!...mmm....."),
but this is what dutchie played in the last hour:
mj, ben
deep purple, lazy guitar
papa was a rolling stone, temps
joe cocker, pardon me, sir
mama loo, les humphries singers
donna hightower, if you hold my hand
boomer's story, ry cooder (another "frisco" song, though he doesn't rhyme it with "disco")
-
OMG! Andy Williams, "Can't Get Used to Losin' You".
-
What's up with all the 10cc? I heard Things We Do For Love (I think that was it) an hour or more ago, and now Dean's playing Dreadlock Holiday. Not that I'm complaining, but when you hear two songs by an artist that they usually don't play a lot, ya gotta wonder. Hope nobody died!
-
dutchie went all easy listening on me at 2pm. but before then, i heard some more gems. ok two more gems:
love train, o'jays
wallflower, doug sahm and bob dylan
jean genie, bowie
whiskey in the jar, thin lizzy
jamabalaya (on the bayou), the carpenters ("pick guitar, fill fruit jar and
be gay-o")

I (heart) Karen C., but Jambalaya?!? That's like Norah Jones doing "Anarchy in the UK". WTF?

i think it was much worse than that.

CG: Jon & Vangelis, "Find My Way Home".
-
Long John Baldry, "Let the Heartaches Begin", a ballad from '67 that sounds like something Tom Jones (or Englebert) shoulda done.
-
OMG! Sheena Easton, "Morning Train" (or "9 to 5" as it was known in the UK). Hope Gaz is CG-ing!
-
Dean says he's going to salute Welsh Artists (it's St David's Day, a big deal in Wales). Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Mary Hopkin, Scritti Politti and -- hey Gaz -- Dave Edmunds!

Well... he played TJ anyway. And now "Vienna"!
-
dutchie highlights of the day:
blue suede shoes, ep
baby come back, player
randy, blooming(?) "randy, you're a friend i like..."
the living years, mike and the mechanics
veronica, elvis costello
tonight (live), tina turner and david bowie (written by bowie and iggy pop)
talking about a revolution, tracy chapman
she drives me crazy, (far from) fine young cannibals
end of the line, the travelling wilburys
stop your fussin', toni childs
the thrill is gone, a dutch band
the only one, roy orbison
belfast child, simple minds
theme from "a fish called wanda"
angel eyes, jeff healey band
marrakesh express, csn no y
brother louie, dutch band (complete with spoken interludes like, "i don't want no honky in my family, you hear me?" and "no spook in my family. get it?")
now i'm listening to "you're my darling, darling, babaaaay" on smoothfm. but if it's welsh day (!!!!), i'll see if the cg player will work for me.
-

i've got a package for her alright.

the cg player doesn't work for me. :( so i'm peyroux-ing it instead. which reminds me, i forgot to tell you my story. oh well. i'll save it for the party.
-
Wow, Dave Davies, "Death of a Clown", his only solo hit. Never heard this before.

You told me the story Sun nite. But I never told you my dead pope story.
Does the player just not work, or do you get a messages asking ypu to download something. It weird that it all of a sudden doesn't work for you. (cue "Twilight Zone" theme)

oh well, shows how good my memory is. darn! now i have to wait for the pope story again!
the player opens, then it tells me "they're" experiencing technical difficulties. maybe it it could get all of its personalities in the same javascript, "i" wouldn't have this problem.
no dimension of sound, rod!
