the good news: it's 1968

the bad news: this probably means I'm not getting my 1969 Soul Patrol B-Day request on Monday. Which I guess doesn't surprise me (Dave hates me, I think) but is disappointing nonetheless.

Great year for today. I'll email a request for your birthday set. Not that I have any pull but....

groovytunes, baby!  I'm in the minority, but I like this particular period of Stones-dom.

And sadly I'm off to a 10:00 meeting; catch y'all in CGSS after 11...

or is it "Like a Rainbow?"

I always get confused, also the title of the Love song "My Love She Come in Colors."

Thanks, Ali but don't -- it's too late now I'm sure and will only annoy him.

The title is "She's a Rainbow," and the song was indeed inspired by Love's "She Comes in Colors."  I need to have them both on a mix.

BOS to the Montanas, "You've Got to Be Loved."  What a joyous bit of bubblegum sunshine.  Especially the little bicycle-bell jingle.  First time I heard this I assumed it was the Cowsills.

Enjoying the set, but busy using my computer for things other than posting a lot.

VHM to the Beach Boys: "Do It Again" is in my top 10 of their songs.  (I've never compiled such a list, but it would start with "God Only Knows" and "Darlin'" and proceed from there.

Or, don't.

(Oh, how I wish Dave had followed that up with "Pammy's on a Bummer.")

Wow, "Love Power" followed by the magnificent "Alone Again Or."  If I were making a best-of-'68 mix it would sound a lot like this.  Sorry everyone else had to bail on the Clubhouse today.

So I'm sitting at home working on my class reunion book page and groovin' on 10at10.  A really representative set I think.  (Not that I was there - I was 4).  But what I really want to know is...
Joe, have you been watching the American version of "The Office"?  It's just as painful to watch as the BBC version, except it isn't funny.

Oops, I just wasn't myself there.  I'm OK now.
