NTM: The Pasadenas (of "Tribute" fame circa 1989) doing a nice, faithful cover of NYC's "I'm Doin' Fine" -- the only cover of the tune I'm aware of. Turns out this was a bigger hit in the UK than the orig -- it hit #4 in 1992.

OMG! Londonbeat, "Ive Been Thinkin' About You" -- haven't heard this in ages. Must put on the AL 1991 wish-list.
-
JJ on fire this AM: 8th Day's "You Gotta Crawl (Before You Walk)" followed by the post-Diana Supes' "Everybody's Got the Right To Love". What's the use of runnin', boy?
ETA: lawdy! the Soul Children, "I'll Be the Other Woman".

wow, the Dionne W version of "Wishin' & Hopin'" -- Dusty's is still superior, but DW's is worth a listen.

This week's Radio Deluxe podcast features some interesting Joni Mitchell covers.

Grace Jones needs a man. You 'n' me both, girlfriend. 'LNG having streaming probs for the 2nd day; looks like it's Radio de Sebb from here on in.

and speaking of needing a man: Carl Bean's fantabulous "I Was Born This Way".

DAY-um! Betty Harris' version of "Ride Your Pony" -- when she says "stay in the saddle and shoot", she ain't talkin' 'bout no gun, y'alls.
and here's War's "You Got the Power", one you hardly ever hear.
-
Radio de Sebb plays the Isleys "Fight the Power" and for once it's the uncensored "bullshit" version, which I haven't heard in ages.

'LNG having streaming probs for the 2nd day
make that 3 days -- emailed them and they say problem is not on their end; the link I usually click on the open their WMP gets me a "cannot find server" message. Why would Kaiser be blocking this stream specifically (I guarantee I'm the only one in the building who listens to 'LNG), and not, say, KFOG?

War's "You Got the Power", one you hardly ever hear.
There's a good reason for that.
