AL says that one a lot in re: Office Space

I always heard it as just "Mondays' but apparently there's a segment of the population that hears "Moandays"

One of those jokes that seems funny at first, but less so each time it's said, a la "B Sharps".

VHM, "Faith".  Not exactly really necessary anymore, but always welcome.

yep, that's pretty much the point. All the actors in the scene would agree with you.  :)

Wasn't listening, but I'll guess 1987, along with appearances by U2, R.E.M., the Cure, Tom Petty, with Suzanne Vega being a rarity/bustout. SRW and DB swooned over Crowded House's other hit being played, and there were two other songs played, possibly "La Bamba" and "Livin' On A Prayer".

The Cure, check, but not so much on the others (i wasn't paying too close attention, so maybe), but it did include Sting.  Finished with the Beastie Boys, "Brass Monkey".  Not an awful set.

Stranglers' Always The Sun was nice.  It'd be my pick for BOS.

HM to Geo Michael and Beastie Boys.

Echo and the Bunnymen would have gotten a BOS, too, but Lips Like Sugar is their most overplayed song.  And some would argue one of their worst.

02/27/12 - Mystery Monday!  WHEN Are We? (1987)

 1. The Bangles - Hazy Shade of Winter (Purple Haze mix)
(News: PTL Church scandal, Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker)
 2. George Michael - Faith
 3. Bourgeois tagg - I Don't Mind at All
 4. The Stranglers - Always the Sun
(TV: SNL - Gold-Sting (Sting) and a cheapskate James Bond (Steve Martin))
 5. Sting - Be Still My Beating Heart
(News: Reagan admits arms were traded for hostages after previous denial)
 6. Pink Floyd - One Slip
(Movie: The Witches of Eastwick - Alexandra (Cher) tells Daryl (Jack Nicholson) exactly what she thinks of him)
 7. Echo & the Bunnymen - Lips Like Sugar
 8. The Replacements - Can't Hardly Wait
(News: Supreme court nominees, politics, the Pope)
 9. The Cure - Why Can't I Be You?
(Movie: Dirty Dancing - Final show, last dance - "Shake things up a bit")
10. Beastie Boys - Brass Monkey (B.O.S!)

well, on paper anyway, a katrina/LN-laden set punctuated by a Beaties tune that if not a bustout is a serious rarity.  Not clear on the Pink Floyd song, but I'd LN 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9, but maybe that's just my post-Oscars hangover throbbing.

The Pink Floyd track has to be a bust-out.  I wonder if I've heard it on KFOG in ANY context before!

amazingly, Dave played "One Slip" 3 times!  But apparently never played the Beastie Boys.  AL, howver, played "Brass Monkey" once before, in 2010.
