Wed 4/11/12: 1976

Seger never forgets. But WTF is the orig studio version of "Live & Let Die" doing here?

WOS Aerosmith's "Last Child" -- our first hint at Tyler's obsession with sassafrass.

LN: "Lowdown"

uber-uber-uber LN: "Bohemian Rhapsody". Sheesh. Ditto "Show Me the Way". Good gawd.  Ditto Ditto "Crazee on Yew". Lawd ha'mercy. Ditto Ditto Ditto "Sir Duke". I give up.

Just when all hope seemed lost ("Boys are back in Town" too? srsly??) BJ arrives with "NY State of Mind" uber-BOS. Eat yer heart out, Jay-Z .

Seger - Rock n' Roll Never Forgets
Paul McCartney & Wings - Live and Let Die (Live)
Aerosmith - Last Child
Boz Scaggs - Lowdown
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Peter Frampton - Show Me The Way
Heart - Crazy On You
Stevie Wonder - Sir Duke
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
Billy Joel - New York State of Mind

Sorry, Seaver (subbing for Stroud): that was NOT the "live" version of the Wings tune you played.

Fri 4/13/12: RnR HOF Snubs

nice idea -- guess you could call this a "bad luck" set, har har. 10 artists not (yet) in the Hall of Fame...

Beginning (but of course!) with Chicago.

eek: Journey who thankfully remain out of the Hall.

I sympathize with the Moodies being snubbed but... LN: "Tuesday Afternoon"

well, no surprise that we'd hear Rush.  WOS, of course.  "Sayyyyyles-mayun!"

But here's a pick I can get behind: the Guess Who.

eeek: Boston. But at least it's "Hitch a ride" and not "More Than a Feeling"

SRV may be a Classic Rock Radio cliche, but he certainly should be in the hall.

Most worthy: the pre-fab four. VHM "Last Train to Clarksville"

It's your move, Rock Hall! VHM Yes.

I heartily endorse putting 3DN in the RnR HOF. But I never need to hear "Joy to the World" again.

Chicago - Beginnings
Journey - Wheel in the Sky
Moody Blues - Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon)
Rush - The Spirit of Radio
Guess Who - American Woman
Boston - Hitch a Ride
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride and Joy
Monkees - Last Train to Clarksville
Yes - I've Seen All Good People: Your Move/All Good People
Three Dog Night - Joy to The World
